Upcoming Important Update to Payout Documentation – Effective February 2025
We would like to inform you about upcoming changes to our payout documentation process, effective from the 1st of February 2025. These changes will apply to documents for January 2025 issued in February.
As part of our commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, we are introducing the following updates:
-
Payout Statement:
The current Payout Invoice available for download in our portal will now be renamed to Payout Statement. While the document's format and content will remain the same, it will no longer carry the title "invoice." -
Sales Invoice:
Starting February, clients will receive a Sales Invoice via email. This document will detail all Cleeng fees (e.g., Merchant fees, Overage fees, and Other fees) and ensure alignment with the billing section of the Payout Statement. -
Self-Billing Payable Invoice:
As the Merchant of Record, we will issue a Self-Billing Payable Invoice via email. This document will include details such as:
- Collected funds
- Cancelled revenue
- Any custom adjustments
These updates are designed to improve transparency in our billing process and align with best practices in financial compliance. The changes have been reviewed in consultation with our auditors and adhere to accounting regulations.
If you have any questions or concerns about these updates, please contact us at finance@cleeng.com.
We value your trust and partnership and look forward to continuing to serve you with greater clarity and transparency.

Support for New Currency Added
We are pleased to announce that we have added the New Taiwan Dollar (TWD) to our list of supported currencies.
Sandbox Environment - Daily Subscriptions Added
We are happy to inform you about an important update to the Sandbox environment. From now on, daily subscriptions can be created directly in the Cleeng dashboard, in the sandbox environment only. This change does not impact the production environment.
We hope this new feature will significantly simplify and improve the testing process.
Improvements
Subscription Report -> Last Transaction Date: Column Type Change
The column type has been changed from date (YYYY-MM-DD) to datetime (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS) in the Subscription Report -> Last transaction date (see How to understand exported data?).
Samsung TV - Purchase Processing Status Enhancement
We are happy to introduce improved tracking of purchase processing status with the launch of the new Check Samsung TV purchase status endpoint. It works seamlessly with Samsung TV’s direct integration setup, and effectively replaces the older method, simplifying the process.
If you have used the previous “Get entitlement” endpoint, it will continue to work, but we recommend the switch as it will provide improved purchase status information.
For new integrations, the new /purchase-status endpoint should be used.
For more details, please see Samsung TV integration tutorial.
Apple In-App Purchase Improvements
We are pleased to share the following improvements to integration of Apple in-app purchases utilizing StoreKit 2 framework.
-
Support for passes
We have added support for passes. It is designed to provide a seamless experience for managing non-renewing subscriptions (handled as passes in Cleeng), and ensuring data consistency.
To implement support for passes, please refer to our updated integration documentation for detailed instructions and best practices.
We believe this addition will significantly enhance the subscriber experience and drive engagement with your content.
