What is the Resumed Metric?
The Resumed metric shows the number of subscriptions that have transitioned from a paused state back to active billing during the selected period. This metric reflects subscriber re-engagement and is key to understanding pause behavior recovery. Read more about Pause.
You can find it in the Cleeng Dashboard under Analytics > Paused Subscriptions.
How is it Calculated?
The formula can be expressed as:
Resumed = Count of subscriptions that moved from paused to active status during the selected period
The metric is based on the date the resumption event occurred. By default, the dashboard displays data for the last 30 days.
How to Use the Resumed Metric in a Subscription Business
This metric helps you evaluate how effective your platform is at bringing paused subscribers back. Use it to:
- Monitor Re-Engagement Rates: Identify trends in how frequently paused subscribers return.
- Assess Pause Feature Performance: Determine if offering a pause option supports longer-term retention.
- Evaluate Recovery Campaigns: Measure the impact of nudges or win-back strategies on resumption behavior.
- Compare by Segment: Filter by country, offer, or channel to understand where recovery is most effective.
FAQs
Are multiple resumptions by the same user counted separately?
Yes. Each unique transition from paused to active is counted as a separate event.
Is the resume date always the same as the billing restart date?
In most cases, yes, but actual billing may depend on how the subscription was paused and the billing cycle.
