This article explains how Cleeng payouts work, including when earnings are processed, how they are calculated, and how to manage your payout details.
How to manage your payout information
You have full control over where we send your money. Follow these steps to manage your payout information:
1. Navigate to Billing Information: Go to your Cleeng dashboard and find Admin & Tools > Account > Billing Information.
2. Choose Your Payout Method: You can select a transfer to any bank account (IBAN, ACH, SWIFT).
3. Set Your Currency: You can choose your preferred currency for transactions.
Monthly payout timeline
Each month, Cleeng processes payouts according to the conditions described in the Merchant Schedule. Here is a step-by-step timeline of what happens each month with the earnings from the previous month.
| When | What happens |
| Around the 5th working day of each month | Your Payout Statement is ready. We calculate your earnings from the previous month and make your payout statement available. You can download it from your dashboard under Admin & Tools > Account > Billing Information. |
| Around the 15th day of each month | Your Payout is sent. The payout is made in your default currency. We can transfer your earnings to any bank account (IBAN, ACH, SWIFT) indicated by you in the Cleeng dashboard > Admin & Tools > Account > Billing Information. |
Key payout requirements & details
Before a payout can be processed, a few conditions must be met.
1. The €500 payout threshold
To receive a payout, you need to earn more than €500 (or an equivalent of this amount in your respective currency).
- How it works: if you accumulate less than €500 of earnings by the end of the previous month, Cleeng will not make the payout. It will be postponed until the total accumulated amount exceeds €500.
- Example: You earn €100 in April. No payout is sent in May. In May, you earn another €470. Your total is now €570. Your full € 570 payout will be processed around June 15th.
When you’ve earned more than € 500, at the beginning of next month, your revenue will be calculated and displayed as a 'pending' payment. Any cases of fraud, as well as refund requests and social commissions, will also be analyzed at this time. Then the payout will be made around the 15th day of the month.
2. Bank details confirmation
When you add or update your bank details in the Cleeng Dashboard (under Admin & Tools > Account > Billing Information), you must tick the confirmation box to verify your information is correct.
Double-checking your details is crucial because incorrect information can lead to serious issues, such as payment rejection, incurring additional bank fees or, in some cases, it can result in funds being transferred to the wrong account, with no guarantee of recovery.
If you are on an Enterprise plan, you have an additional security step. For your first payout, and any time you update your details, you will receive an email prompting you to confirm your billing information is correct. We cannot process your payout until we receive this confirmation.
3. The 5% deposit
By default, Cleeng holds a 5% deposit from your total earnings each month until the next payout.
4. Bank transfer fees
Cleeng will cover the bank transfer fees, yet certain banks may charge extra fees for which Cleeng cannot be held liable and which are borne by you.
FAQs
Can I receive my payout early?
Generally, we only process payouts according to the standard monthly schedule. This policy is in place to minimize financial risk for both you and Cleeng, especially in cases where an event is canceled and refunds are required.
However, for larger accounts, an early payout can be requested. In this case, an administrative fee of €/$ 75 will apply.
How do I withdraw funds if I close my account?
If you decide to close your Cleeng account, an administrative fee of €/$ 75 will be applied and deducted from your final payout. For more details, please see our guide: How to close my Cleeng Account?
How does Cleeng charge for Refunds and Chargebacks?
Our team will take care of processing refunds and chargebacks on your behalf. For each operation, a small reverse fee applies:
- Refunds: $1 per refunded transaction
- Chargebacks: $20 per confirmed chargeback
No further costs are passed on to you. Cleeng will cover the handling of dispute management, bank escalations, and scheme fees. The only exception would be any penalties imposed directly by the payment schemes due to excessive chargebacks linked to your account.
