If your scheduled reports are not being delivered to your SFTP destination, the connection between Cleeng's reporting system and your SFTP server is most likely being rejected. This article walks you through the checks and settings you need to confirm on your side to resolve the most common delivery failures.
You set up SFTP delivery in the Data Export assistant, under Analytics > Data Export. For help configuring an export, see How to export data to other tools.
Step 1: Verify Your SFTP Connection Details
Confirm that the following details in your schedule configuration are correct:
- Host (for example, sftp.example.com)
- Port (usually 22)
- Username
- Authentication method: password or SSH key
An incorrect host, port, or credential is a frequent cause of authentication and connection errors.
Step 2: Check the Destination Path and Permissions
Confirm the destination folder on your SFTP server is set up correctly:
- Make sure the remote directory exists.
- Make sure the user account has write permissions for that directory.
Step 3: Allowlist the Report Delivery IP Addresses
This is the most common root cause of SFTP delivery failures. If the report delivery IP addresses are not allowlisted on your SFTP server, the server will reject the connection even when your credentials are correct.
Add the following IP addresses to your SFTP server's allowlist:
- 52.31.69.117
- 34.243.112.76
- 52.49.220.103
Step 4: Retest the Schedule
After updating your settings:
- Save the schedule again.
- Run it manually.
- Confirm the delivery succeeds and the file appears in the expected SFTP location.
If the Issue Persists
If your reports still fail to deliver after completing these steps, Cleeng Support can investigate further.
Before you reach out, find your Schedule Plan ID: go to your profile and open Schedules. Your schedules are listed there, with the ID shown in the ID column.
Then contact Cleeng Support with your Schedule Plan ID so the team can look into it.
