New! Seasonal Subscriptions
We are super excited to announce the launch of our latest feature: seasonal subscriptions.
They are a step forward from our current offer types: season passes - as seasonal subscriptions do not expire, and regular subscriptions - as with seasonal ones your customer’s billing cycle is based on a seasonal cycle.
We believe it will be a real game changer for broadcasters whose content is tied to specific seasons or events, such as sports leagues.
You are welcome to see the overview of seasonal subscriptions feature in this demo:
Here are some of the highlights of seasonal subscriptions:
- User-friendly configuration in the broadcaster dashboard
- 2 main setup steps: defining seasonal schedules and creating a seasonal subscription offer that is linked to a selected schedule
- Automatic renewal at the start of each new season
- A flexible time-based pricing mechanism allowing you to set up different promotional prices, for example: early-bird, mid-season, etc.
- Easy editing of current and upcoming seasons
Main benefits:
- Improved subscriber retention and decreased customer churn
Thanks to automatic renewal at the start of a new season you don’t need to reacquire your customers. - Increased acquisition potential and customer engagement
Thanks to time-based and season-adjusted pricing your customers can sign up across the entire season and take advantage of differentiated prices.
Integration-related highlights:
If your integration with Cleeng is via MediaStore SDK Components:
- Seasonal subscriptions are available with minimum version 4.1.1 of MediaStore SDK Components.
- Components automatically handle the seasonal subscriptions case, by proper presentation in the checkout and my account. Components present the prices according to the rules set in the dashboard.
If your integration with Cleeng is via MediaStore SDK API, the following points require attention:
- What price is presented in the offer display and before the purchase in the checkout as for seasonal subscription offers we have time-based promotional prices (see Offer display).
- For cases when the start date of the next season is unset you should be careful to adjust the text appropriately to avoid displaying an indefinite date (see more in Current Plan Setup).
For details of the functionality and its setup, please refer to our article on Seasonal Subscriptions.

Upcoming Changes
New Payout Invoices
We are happy to announce the upcoming changes to our payout invoices - as of August 2023, invoices with a new layout will be available to our Broadcasters.
The new payout invoice layout will provide a cleaner presentation and improve clarity of how the payout invoices are calculated.
Additionally, with this change, invoices will be available for download around the 5th working day of a month, which will allow you to have a better insight into past month revenue and fees early in the month!
We believe that this timely financial information will help you forecast and plan your budgets to further enhance your growth.
Improved
Customer Refunds Dashboard Improvement
The Customers Refunds dashboard, available for Hi5 users, has undergone a thorough refresh. It is now well aligned with the UI patterns in the Cleeng Dashboard.
Apart from better user experience, performance has also been improved. You can now enjoy the new, refreshed look & feel without a change to functionality.
MediaStore SDK Components - Accessibility Improvements
We have meticulously restructured the HTML markup across our Components library to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards.
These changes aim to enhance compatibility with screen readers, voice commands, and other assistive technologies. Users with disabilities can now navigate and interact with our components more seamlessly.
