GDPR Regulation
As the GDPR regulation started in May 2018, Cleeng Custom Fields (previously known as Cleeng Capture) can be a very handy feature for obtaining marketing consent from end-users. Premium content owners can easily create questions and other input fields (ex. checkboxes) and ask for consent to legal terms, policies, and marketing communication. By collecting consent, that publisher/content owner can secure the right to do mass marketing communication to those users.
How to activate Custom Fields
Note:
- Enabling Custom Fields will create an additional step in your checkout process if you're using MediaStore SDK Components.
- In Hosted Customer Flows, these fields will appear in the User Account widget, but not during registration. Support for adding custom fields to the registration flow is coming soon.
You can get the Cleeng Custom Fields to be working in a few simple steps in the Cleeng dashboard > Admin & Tools > Custom Fields.
Please refer to the Cleeng Custom Fields article for the step-by-step guide.
