✨ Partial Refunds
We are excited to announce the introduction of Partial Refunds, a new feature designed to offer greater flexibility and improved customer satisfaction.
A partial refund returns a portion of the original transaction amount. It allows more flexibility - customers can retain access and continue being billed, or access can be revoked at your discretion. For a quick overview, please see our guide to partial refunds.
Is it for me?
You must be using Cleeng’s Merchant (Adyen or PayPal) to handle web payments to take advantage of partial refunds.
Key benefits
- Customer Retention: Offer compensation without a full cancellation, helping to retain customers.
- Dispute Prevention: Reduce disputes and churn while protecting your revenue.
- Versatile Use: Particularly valuable for situations where customers experienced partial service issues or wish to downgrade their purchase.
How to issue a refund?
You can issue partial refunds directly through the Cleeng Dashboard. Navigate to Customer > Customer Accounts > Transactions section within a specific customer’s account.

Improvements
📊 Merchant Analytics Dashboard - Out of Beta with New "Retried Payments" Insights
We're excited to share that the Merchant Analytics Dashboard is officially out of Beta!
Thanks to your valuable feedback, we’ve enhanced the dashboard and added a powerful new section to help you better understand and optimize your payment performance.
What's new?
To enhance usability and clarity, the Merchant Analytics Dashboard now features two dedicated subpages:
- Merchant Overview
- Retried Payments (new).
The Retried Payments section provides deeper insights into how your payment retry strategies are performing, with key metrics including: Retry Success Rate, Recovered Revenue, and Success Rate.
These insights help you evaluate and improve your dunning strategy, reduce involuntary churn, and boost subscriber retention during renewals.
Besides providing an overview of your overall payment success rates (initial and recurring) and rejection reasons, the dashboard now allows you to assess the effectiveness of your dunning settings over time (you can view your dunning settings in the Cleeng dashboard), and benchmark it against the industry standards.
Who can use this?
This feature is available to clients using Cleeng’s Merchant with web-based payment gateways, Adyen or PayPal.
Where to find it?
Navigate to Cleeng Dashboard > Merchant > Retried Payments.

✨ Taxes Collection for Philippine Customers
In our continuous efforts to improve our service, we are rolling out an update for tax management in the Philippines. With this update, customers in this country will have an applicable tax of 12% added to their purchases.
If you use Cleeng’s Merchant (Cleeng acts as your Merchant of Record) and sell your digital content to customers in the Philippines, the following information is relevant to your content offers:
- Historically, prices of offer localizations for the Philippines were exclusive of VAT.
- Starting July 17, 2025, prices for the Philippines will now be treated as inclusive of VAT in the Cleeng platform.
- You may need to update your prices on any offers that target the Philippines markets that were created before July 17, 2025.
What do I need to do?
Do you have offers localized for the Philippines that are currently active? You can recognize them by ending on their offer ID - ‘PH’.
These prices will now be treated as gross prices for taxation purposes.
The VAT rate of 12% will now apply to any purchases of your offers made in the Philippines and will be remitted on your behalf to the tax authorities. If you wish to update your prices, you can do so in the Cleeng Broadcaster dashboard.

📊 Data Export: Improved Filter Naming
We've resolved an issue of having very long filter names and the difference between “as in the data table” vs “with visualization option applied”.
With this update, table name prefixes have been removed from filter names across both filtering and data export processes. This results in a cleaner, more consistent experience - making it easier to scroll through filter lists and simplifying scheduled data exports.
Where to find it?
Navigate to Cleeng Dashboard > Analytics > Data Export.

📊 Subscription Report: New Column & Filter - “Is In Grace Period"
To enhance dunning action analytics, we’ve added the Is In Grace Period column and filter to the Subscription Report (available in Cleeng Dashboard > Analytics > Data Export).
This will allow you to filter out and monitor subscriptions in grace period only. It applies to all subscriptions that are currently in grace period, irrelevant of the start date of a subscription.

📊 Customer History Dashboard: Pass Details Available
Customer History Dashboard has been enriched with information on passes.
You can now easily access a complete view of each customer's subscription and pass history, including pass start/end dates, pass ID, and offer name - all in one place.
Where to find?
