Subscription Switch
Want to offer your customers more choice and flexibility through subscription upgrades and downgrades? You’re in the right place.
We have just released a new version of our Subscription Switch feature within the Cleeng dashboard that further enhances and enriches our offer management.
Here is a short video that describes the most important changes.
Subscription switch feature provides you with flexibility you need while configuring subscription upgrades and downgrades for web. Here are a few highlights:
- Easy offer switch configuration - Now you can add upgrade and downgrade options for each offer in the dashboard. This provides ultimate flexibility and allows for very precise per offer configuration that can fulfill practically any business need. See more in the Subscription upgrades and downgrades article.
- Upgrade / downgrade behavior configuration - Do you want your customers to be charged immediately and be able to have immediate access to a new subscription? Or would you rather let them stay on the current plan until the end of the billing period and only then charge and give them access to the switched offer content? How do you want to deal with unused services?
All these conditions are catered for in switch algorithms that Cleeng supports - it’s up to you to decide on your preference and set it up in the dashboard. You can leave defaults or choose your preferred settings. See more in the Supported subscription switch algorithms article. - Ready-to-use MediaStore SDK components - once configured, subscription switch feature can be used from MediaStore SDK level. Cleeng provides a full set of React components that allow you to build UX for the customers to perform upgrades and downgrades in an intuitive and effortless manner. See more in our Developer Portal.
- API-based switch - once configured, subscription switch feature can be used from API level - both MediaStore API and API 3.1. For details of API and webhook changes please see below.
- More than just a switch feature - Retention! - Thanks to upgrade and downgrade configuration you get enhanced retention capabilities. The current plan seems too expensive to your customers? No need to cancel - let your customers take advantage of downgrade options. See more in the Reduce customer churn with downgrade retention offers article.
